Annie Wright School in Tacoma announced that 26 out of 27 students received its International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and that class president Maggie Wang received the highest score on the exam.
Wang, from Dalian, China, will go to Boston University in the fall as one of only 20 Trustee Scholars, recipients of the university’s most prestigious merit-based award.
The purpose of the IB is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
