The Northwest Asian Weekly hosted a luncheon on June 27 at Joyale Seafood Restaurant to celebrate Jill Wakefield’s retirement and thank her supporters.
All the people featured in a pictorial in our June 18 issue contributed a total of $3,000 for the Jill Wakefield Endowed Scholarship for the Seattle Colleges. Thank you for your support for the colleges and community.
Wakefield retired as Seattle College District Chancellor on June 30. She was the longest-serving chancellor in the district’s history.
