The oldest and long-running Vietnamese news source, Nguoi Viet Tay Bac (Northwest Vietnamese News) celebrated its 30th anniversary on May 7. They publish stories about social issues, the economy, politics, and culture.
Established in 1986 by Kim and Hang Pham to provide information to the growing Vietnamese community, the newspaper has become the voice of the Vietnamese population in the Northwest. It was the first privately-owned Vietnamese paper in the region.
Today, the newspaper is managed by the couple’s three children and serves approximately 80,000 people.
