Seattle’s 41st annual Dragon Fest kicks off on July 16 — it’s the biggest Pan-Asian festival in the Pacific Northwest celebrating the culture and food in the Chinatown International District (CID).
This two-day festival at Hing Hay Park includes lion and dragon dances, Japanese musicians, martial arts groups, Asian drill team performers, and even world-famous break dancers.
The event includes the famous $3 Food Walk, with over 50 restaurants participating. New this year is the CID Bar Crawl. Participants can collect stamps from 5 of the best bars in the CID through July 31, and enter to win airline tickets from Delta Airlines.
Beyond food and drink, Dragon Fest offers many family friendly activities including origami workshops, kid’s activities and crafts, a Dumpling Eating Contest for adults, and Egg Tart Eating Contest for kids.
