Ming-Ming Tung-Edelman has taken on a new project, the “Oprah MiMi Globe Necklace Project.” Tung-Edelman purchased a jumpsuit from Oprah Winfrey’s closet charity auction. Now, Tung-Edelman is repurposing fabric from that garment to make fabric jewelry pieces. She said it’s like getting a hug from Oprah.
The limited collection at MiMiBug.com is made by local refugee artisans with the goal of reducing garment waste and creating jobs.
The Oprah-inspired jewelry sells for $50 a piece.
