On Feb. 13, at the grand opening of the Yesler Hill Climb, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced that he has submitted a resolution to Seattle City Council to rename the International Children’s Park in Chinatown in honor of Donnie Chin, the former International District Emergency Center head, who was fatally shot in July 2015.

The Yesler Hill Climb is a new pathway that connects Yesler Terrace to First Hill for pedestrians and bicyclists, featuring a staircase and wheelchair-accessible ramp. (end)
