Frieda Takamura
Gov. Jay Inslee appointed Frieda Takamura to Renton Technical College’s board of trustees, a term she will serve through Sept. 30, 2020. Takamura was president of the Renton Education Association from 1988–91 and taught junior high and high schools in Renton, Walla Walla, and Crawfordsville, Ind. She previously was the human and civil rights program coordinator for the Washington Education Association.
Takamura earned an undergraduate degree in English from Whitman College and a graduate degree in education from the University of Washington. (end)
