My in-laws are Chinese and do not know about the dangers of non-organic food. They do not believe me when I tell them that eating non-organic food can be dangerous because the Chinese papers do not discuss the effects of pesticides.
I have an auto-immune condition and eat only organic in my house to keep myself healthy and well. However, we eat at their house once a week and all of their food is non-organic. The food they make is delicious and made with love, however, it is not as nutritious and safe as it could possibly because the chemicals used in it. They are completely unaware of this and think they are serving healthy food.
Can you please share the below information with your audience and other Chinese American papers? Please let them know that even though they are trying to do their best for their families by cooking with lots of vegetables, herbs, and meats the pesticides in those foods are doing more harm than good.
