Debadutta Dash
Debadutta Dash announced that he will be running for Seattle City Council District 5. He told the Northwest Asian Weekly that he has been involved with the community for 15 years and wants to jump in because he believes he can make a difference. Some of his main topics of focus include housing for the underserved and working with youth to give them a voice in the community. He told the Weekly that he thought it was too late to jump in, but it wasn’t. Born in India, Dash serves as the Group Sales Manager & Service Culture Trainer at the Westin Bellevue Hotel. He is Co-chair for WASITRAC, a group to promote trade between India and Washington state. (end)
