There were over 500 attendees at the Multicultural Alumni Partnership “Bridging the Gap” breakfast. Sarah Teng received the Kip Tokuda Scholarship award. Vivian O. Lee and Dr. Carol Simmons received the Dr. Samuel E. Kelly Award. The Hon. Betty and Von Paul Patu received the Distinguished Community.

The Multicultural Alumni Partnership was formed in the spring of 1995 to promote diversity within the Alumni Association and the University community, as well as to encourage students, faculty and alumni from diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds in their studies and careers. (end)
