Nikkei Concerns has announced Janice Deguchi will be its new chief operating officer beginning Sept. 2. Her extensive experience in strategic planning, program development and management, advocacy, fundraising, and capital projects will support the nonprofit as it launches into a new era of senior health care services.
Deguchi has served as executive director of the Denise Louie Education Center since 1997. Before that, she was director of development at the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging, where she engaged with the community and worked to improve opportunities for seniors.
Deguchi holds a B.A. in business administration from the University of Washington, and a M.Ed. in adult education and training from Seattle University. (end)
