Conrad Lee
Bellevue Mayor Conrad Lee filed to run for Bellevue City Council–Position 2, his current council seat, the week of May 13. He held his first fundraiser on May 29, and, according to filings with the state of Washington, has raised $15,875.
He is being challenged for Position 2 by Lake Hills resident Lyndon Heywood, an English-born graphic artist who became a United States citizen in 2011. Heywood has currently not filed any finance reports with the state of Washington.
Bellevue utilizes a council-manager form of city government where the city council selects the mayor from its own members. The mayor of the city runs city council meetings and serves as a spokesman while day-to-day city operations are handled by a city manager. (end)
