Seattle-area ethnic chambers of commerce and community groups in cooperation with Mayor McGinn will be hosting a police appreciation night the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the NewHolly Neighborhood Campus.
The evening will honor 20 Seattle police officers for their work in the community.
This will be the second appreciation night. Last year, the chambers of commerce hosted their first appreciation night on Nov. 14 with over 120 people attending, including Seattle City council members Tim Burgess, Seattle Police Chief John Diaz and members of his command staff, Seattle Municipal Court Judge Shirley Wilson, and many others. Twelve police officers were honored at the event. (end)
