Nathan Adrian leads 100-meter freestyle at Olympics

Nathan Adrian

Nathan Adrian of Bremerton, Wash. won a gold medal for the 100-meter freestyle, beating out Australia’s James Magnussen by one-hundredth of a second. Adrian  has also won an Olympic silver as part of the Men’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay team. Adrian is the son of Cecilia Adrian, who was born and raised in Hong Kong. His father, James Adrian, is a retired nuclear engineer for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. (end)
