The annual Fulbright Enrichment Seminar took place at the Hyatt Hotel from May 29 through June 2. Present were Seattle’s top experts in energy, environment, science, and technology and over 70 Fulbright students who studied the subjects in 42 countries, including Vietnam and Thailand.
The seminar, “From Lab to Market,” focused on translating scientific innovations in energy and environmental conservation into social and economic progress. It was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and organized by the Institute of International Education. The seminar included discussions with U.S. experts, visits to industry-leading companies and research institutions, and a workshop where students could collectively develop ideas. (end)
