Design an outfit, win $500!
Northwest Asian Weekly is inviting you to design an outfit or accessory that incorporates NWAW or Seattle Chinese Post newspapers in the design.
The winners will receive:
1st place winner – $500
2nd place winner – $250
3rd place winner – $100
To enter:
Design a wearable garment or accessory incorporating NWAW or Seattle Chinese Post in some aspect of the visual appearance. Applicants can use other materials as support or embellishments. We welcome any wearable garment or accessory of choice like shirts, pants, jackets, jewelry, skirts, vests, ties, shoes, hats, purses, and more. Let your creativity run wild!
Bring your physical designs into our office at 412 Maynard Ave S. If your design is large (i.e. dresses or jackets), please submit a photographs of the design to info@nwasianweekly.com. Please also include a brief description of your design and the inspiration for your design. Your entry must include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail to be considered complete. All entries are the property of the Northwest Asian Weekly Foundation and will not be returned.
We have extended the deadline to July 12.
Winners:
The winners will be announced on July 19th. All contestants are invited to the Northwest Asian Weekly’s 30th Anniversary Parade and reception on July 22nd and their pictures will be published on the Northwest Asian Weekly and online at nwasianweekly.com and seattlechinesepost.com. The anniversary parade is part of the Seafair Chinatown Parade.
Winners and finalists will have their designs showcased at the Asian Weekly’s 30th Anniversary Parade. They will also be invited to an awards ceremony after the parade.
