Seattle-based artist Naoko Morisawa was selected from a pool of applicants to showcase her artwork at General Electric (GE)’s 6th annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Art Exhibition in Fairfield, Conn. The exhibit will run from April 30 through June 15 at GE’s Cultural Art Gallery, and will also be displayed on the Cultural Online Gallery. The selection process called for works from selected Asian artists inspired by Taoism, Buddhism, or Hinduism or works driven by the philosophy of Qi and Chakraism. Morisawa creates mosaics using small slices of oil-dyed wood chips. Morisawa’s work has shown at Seattle Art Museum, Nordstrom’s Corporate Gallery, Edmond’s Community College, and the Lynwood Convention Center. (end)
