On March 12, White Center Community Development Association (White Center CDA) announced its new executive director, Sili Savusa, who has been a resident and advocate of this community. Savusa left her position as Family Center Coordinator for Southwest Youth and Family Service. She began at CDA as executive director on March 19, replacing former Executive Director Aileen Balahadia.
Balahadia had served as executive director of White Center CDA since 2004, expanding the organization under a new model of community development. Among her most noted accomplishments is the successful management of a multi-million dollar Making Connections community change initiative of the Annie E. Casey Foundation. (end)
