Sam Ung
Sam Ung, author of “I Survived the Killing Fields,” marked the one-year anniversary of his book’s publication on Tuesday, April 17, with a book reading at his restaurant, Phnom Phenh Noodle House.
Ung’s book is a memoir of his experience as a Cambodian refugee during the time of the Khmer Rouge.
Thomas McElroy co-wrote the book with Ung, helping Ung put his painful experience on paper. Copies of his book can be purchased online, at the restaurant, and at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience. (end)
