Noland Hoshino

On March 14, University of Phoenix Oregon Campus honored alumnus Noland Hoshino with an Alumni Community Service Award for his efforts to develop an innovative website and social media campaign for the Portland chapter of Heifer International, a global non-profit organization that works with communities to help end hunger and poverty.

Hoshino, a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, has always been committed to helping others.

After retiring from the military, he used his GI Bill benefits to pursue his education at the University of Phoenix. Hoshino studied at the Oregon campus, earning an undergraduate degree in marketing in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration in 2006. (end)
