On Jan. 9, re-elected Seattle City Councilmembers were sworn to new four-year terms.

Among the councilmembers sworn-in was Bruce Harrell, who is half Japanese. He was sworn-in by his wife, Joanne, with his mom, Rose, looking on.

Other councilmembers sworn-in were Jean Godden, Tom Rasmussen, Tim Burgess, and Sally J. Clark. Clark was elected council president by her eight colleagues that day. (end)
