“What have you done for the community?” I asked some entrepreneurs who have owned a business for 10 to 20 years.
“Nothing” was the shocking answer from some of them. How could it be when you are in business and not giving back?
Being in business is the best position to support the community or help others.
In this dire economy, you cannot just think of your own business 100 percent of the time. Doing good helps you to connect with other people and build relationships. It’s an avenue for opening doors for future opportunities.
Our annual Asian American Pioneers Dinner on Oct. 15 will honor entrepreneurs who have made a difference in the community. Come see for yourself how these amazing entrepreneurs give back and revitalize their own businesses in this challenging economy. (end)
