Northwest Asian Weekly

Washington state Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler has a basically white staff. Not only that, after getting elected in 2000, very few in the Asian community have heard from him.
Then suddenly, someone from his office contacted me and said some of them would like to visit the Northwest Asian Weekly.
I was surprised but elated to learn that the commissioner’s representatives are Korean American Chewon Lee, a strategic partnership development specialist, and Ken Woo, outreach communications manager. They told us about how the uninsured will be able to get health insurance when the new health insurance law is implemented in 2014.
Meetings have been organized to inform people of color about receiving health benefits. So stay tuned. (end))
