Gov. Chris Gregoire announced that she will appoint Pat Oishi to King County Superior Court.
Oishi previously served as Pierce County Superior Court commissioner. He presided over a variety of proceedings in adult felony criminal cases. He has also conducted settlement conferences involving complex family law issues.
For more than a decade, Oishi served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office.
Oishi earned a bachelor’s degree from Seattle University, where he later earned a law degree in 1996. Before attending law school, he was a teacher at Kilo Junior High School in the Federal Way School District. ♦
