At the New Hong Kong Restaurant, the Seattle chapter of the Japanese American Citizen’s League (JACL) honored five of Seattle’s social justice leaders — Roberto Maestas (posthumously), Eddie Rye Jr., Bob Santos, Washington State Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos, and past Washington State Rep. Kip Tokuda — for their work in empowering the Asian Pacific American (APA) community.
