New business owners need to know two things — their own subject and all about running a successful business.
The University of Washington is offering an 8-week business certificate program, which costs $200. Scholarships are available.
Classes are taught by the UW’s Business and Educational Development Center (BEPC). BEPC is one of the nation’s leading centers for minority business development. Classes cover real-life scenarios such as sales and marketing during a turbulent economy, financial projections, government regulations, and more.
There are still enrollment slots available for the April 6- May 25 classes, held every Wednesday evening in South Park. Contact Geraldine Rodriguez, educational programs director at gerirod@uw.edu or 206-616-8090.
