March 24, 2011 By Northwest Asian Weekly

NAAAP-Seattle

The National Association of Asian American Professionals’ Seattle chapter announced its 2011 NAAAP-Seattle College Scholarship. The Scholarship is aimed at Asian American college students who will enter an undergraduate or graduate program in the Greater Seattle area. One scholarship is awarded to four recipients each in the amount of up to $3,000 for educational purposes.

To apply, complete an application form and submit it along with two recommendations. The deadline for submission is May 4 by 11:59 p.m. A personal interview will be scheduled for semi-finalists on May 29.
For more information, or to download application materials, visit seattle.naaap.org.

AAJA Seattle

The Asian American Journalists Association’s Seattle chapter is accepting applications for its student scholarships.  The deadline is May 1.

There are three scholarships to apply for, the  Northwest Journalists of Color Scholarship, the Founders’ Scholarship, and the AAJA Seattle/911 Media Arts Student Scholarship.

For the first time this year, students need only one form to apply for all three scholarships. Last year AAJA awarded four students more than $3000 in scholarships and stipends. ♦
