The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) is offering college-level scholarships to outstanding Asian Americans for the 2011-2012 school year. Four students will receive $3,000 in scholarship money for a total of $12,000 donated by the Verizon Foundation.
Scholarship winners will be recognized locally by the nearest NAAAP chapter as well as at the 2011 NAAAP National Convention in Boston in August.
NAAAP Scholarship applications are available until Dec. 10.
Preference will be given to individuals who are at least one quarter Asian by heritage, students with disabilities, and/or students with certain majors (for more information, visit NAAAP’s website).
Applications will be reviewed by a panel from NAAAP’s executive leadership team with no conflict of interest with the applicant pool. Winners will be selected by Jan. 1, 2011, and announced shortly thereafter. ♦
