General Biodiesel (GB), a company founded in 2006 by Yale and Laura Wong to reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil, won a 2010 Green Washington Award in the Reuse category from Seattle Business Magazine.

GB collects meat scraps and uses vegetable oil from restaurants across Washington state. The company then renders the oil and converts it into usable fuel. ♦
