Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) celebrated its 25th anniversary at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium at Benaroya Hall. The theme was “When Sleeping Women Wake, Mountains Move.” More than 600 people attended, raising $68,000.
The event included cultural performances from the International Lion Dance Team, Ying Yun Tong, the Delshodeh Dance Ensemble, Seattle Chinese Orchestra, Maya Soleli Tradition, Hengda Dance Academy, Nepal Seattle Society, Saltana Band, University of Washington School of Ethnomusicology, and the EriAm Sisters.
ReWA is a multi-ethnic, community-based organization that provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services to refugee and immigrant communities throughout King and Snohomish Counties. ♦
