At the second annual Korean BBQ Cook-Off Competition at Luther Burbank Park, the Korean American Bar Association (KABA) took home the big prize for the second year, Baddest Kalbi in the Northwest. Second place went to Sandra Englund.
KABA also won People’s Choice Kalbi. The Korean American Health Professional Association (KAHPA) took second.
Judges for the event included Matthew Amster-Burton, food writer for The Seattle Times and Gourmet Magazine, Kamala Saxton, co-owner of Marination Mobile, Scott Koh, owner of Shilla Restaurant, and Shnoo Lee, owner of Shnoo Yogurt.
More than 110 people attended. The event was organized by the Korean American Coalition of Washington, KABA, and KAHPA. ♦
