Central Washington University received a grant of nearly $624,000 from the People’s Republic of China. The grant will allow 25 Chinese students to begin work on graduate degrees in accounting and engineering technology in September.
The grant is from Liuzhou People’s Municipal Government in China, for the Liuzhou City Masters Cohorts — a program designed to provide professional certification to government employees.
The grant provides for the first year of a two-year contract with additional funds slated for next year and an option to continue the contract in the future. ♦
