At its fourth annual Orange Days of Giving, ING DIRECT USA’s Sharebuilder associates helped revitalize Wing Luke Elementary School. It was one of ING DIRECT’s 19 nationwide volunteer projects of the year.
Associates assembled and installed new playground equipment, constructed a new student bus path, landscaped, and painted murals.
ING DIRECT donated 32 whiteboards for teachers and 380 pencil boxes filled with school supplies for students.
Wing Luke Elementary was rebuilt in 1970 as an open-concept building. More than 75 percent of its students are on a reduced/free lunch program. For a significant number of students, English is a second language. ♦
