The 2010 Reaksa Smaradey Khmer parade was held as part of the Kent Cornucopia Days. More than 100 Khmer from the Pacific Northwest, including Vancouver, B.C., participated in the event.
The Khmer Krom community, Cambodian-Laotian community, Khmer Student Association of UW Seattle (KhSA), and Rainier Vista Cambodian Dance Group marched down Fourth Avenue South in downtown Kent.
The parade included various costumes from different regions of Cambodia.
The Reaksa Smaradey Khmer parade aims to preserve Khmer values and traditions, build a loving community without boundaries, strengthen professional relationships, and increase cross cultural awareness. ♦
