The annual Garfield Golden Grads (GGG) luncheon for 2010 was held in the Garfield High School (GHS) Commons for GHS classes of 1923–1960.
A total of 260 GGG members and their guests registered for the luncheon, with 241 in attendance. At the luncheon, five graduates were named into the Hall of Fame by Chairman Neal Shulman (’56).
Honored graduates included Bettie Sing Luke, a cultural and historic preservationist (’59); Dr. Charles Mitchell, a leader in education (’59); Gail Franzke Winberg, an advocate for the needy (’59); Judith Goslin Hall, genetic researcher and medical educator (’57); and Maury Clark, a humanitarian (’58).
GGG was founded in order to give scholarships to students at Garfield who are in need. ♦
