JPMorgan Chase donated three refrigerated trucks and $50,000 to Food Lifeline, Washington’s largest hunger relief organization. The event took place at the Asian Counseling and Referral Service’s Food Bank. Chase’s donation to Food Lifeline is part of a $5 million national grant to Feeding America, of which Food Lifeline is a member.
Food Lifeline President and CEO Linda Nageotte, Food Lifeline board member and renowned local chef and restaurateur, Tom Douglas, Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) Executive Director Diane Narasaki, and Chairman for JPMorgan Chase, Pacific Northwest Phyllis Campbell, spoke about the impact of the donation.
The trucks will be used to collect and distribute food to more than 675,000 hungry people that Food Lifeline serves throughout Western Washington each year. ♦
