July 4: Tea Palace kicks off Miss Washington scholarship competition

At its location in Renton, Tea Palace hosted a kick-off event for 2010 Miss Washington Scholarship contestants, among them Miss Pierce County, Kristen Tateishi, the only Asian American contestant of the group.

The contestants will vie for the title of Miss Washington this Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10 at the Holiday Inn in Renton. ♦
