Vajrayana Dharma Foundation (VDF), a nonprofit organization building dreams for orphan Tibetan girls, organized the Books & Beds at 14,000 ft. fundraiser, a wine and silent auction at the Lake Forest Civic Club in Lake Forest Park. The event earned more than $5,000.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will go to constructing a school and dormitory for 15 orphan girls from a remote nomad village in Eastern Tibet. VDF will also use funds raised through the event to hire a female teacher and caretaker. ♦
