Densho: The Japanese American Legacy Project and the Wing Luke Memorial Foundation learned that they were being awarded significant grants by the National Park Service.
The Japanese American Legacy Project received a total of about $375,000. The Wing Luke Memorial Foundation received $100,000.
The National Park Service announced that 23 Japanese American Confinement Sites Grants totaling nearly $3 million were being awarded to “preserve and interpret historic locations, where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II.” ♦
