The Seattle Chinese Athletic Association (SCAA) ended its 41st year of recreational youth basketball by hosting its awards and appreciation banquet at The Tea Palace in Renton. Parents, friends, coaches, and volunteers all gathered together to recognize the accomplishments of more than 200 boys and girls who participated on 18 teams.
Melanie Ma and Brett Nakagawa were each presented with a Phil Mar Memorial Scholarship. Brianna Felix, Tiffany Luong, and Eleazar Teodoro were each presented with an Al and Norman Mar Scholarship. ♦
