Works by famed Northwest artist Paul Horiuchi hang on the wall of Seattle’s artREsource, a venue not known for having shows. A special exception was made for Horiuchi.
Paul Horiuchi’s paintings and collages are being exhibited at artREsource through May 8. Some of the pieces that are being showcased have never been seen by the public before.

Horiuchi (1906–1999) was a Northwest artist who earned national acclaim. He was designated by the Emperor of Japan as a Sacred Treasure, Fourth Class, in 1976. In 1989, he received the Washington State Governor’s Award of Special Commendation.
