After the WUC fashion show, I walked to Nordstrom to meet Jason Wu.
Who is Jason Wu, you ask?
You know, the guy who designed Michelle Obama’s presidential inaugural ball gown.
At first glance, the guy appears shy and not very dynamic. However, appearances can be deceiving.
Many young Asian ladies’ eyes gleamed in the presence of Wu.
He has a bright future. A cocktail dress may cost as much as $3,000, and a casual blouse might be $600.
The section of clothes featuring Jason Wu’s fashions is the most expensive section at Nordstrom.
What makes Wu tick? The usual. It’s hard work, but most important, it’s luck. If Mrs. Obama had not picked his gown, Wu might not have become a sensation. He could still be an unknown, sweating over a blouse that could cost only 15 bucks at Target. ♦
