
Alexander Lu
Redmond resident Alexander Lu, a fourth grader at Bellevue Children’s Academy, won top honors in the KING FM Ten Grands Young Artist Awards competition. The pianist will perform center stage alongside the featured artists at the Ten Grands concert on May 21.
The 10-year old Young Artist grand prize winner also received a $1,000 scholarship from 98.1 Classical KING FM.
Nine other talented students made the top 10 cut and have received invitations to perform at the Ten Grands event.
They are Oliver Aldort of Eastsound, Matt DeLuca of Sammamish, Britanee Hwee of Lake Forest Park, Pearl Lam of Seattle, Michael Lee of Bellevue, Casey Pinckney of Renton, Rachel Wong of Lynnwood, Jack Walters of Brier, and Carly Ann Worden of Sammamish. ♦
