AAJA gives out scholarships to journalism students

April 22, 2010 By Northwest Asian Weekly

Up to $2,500 scholarships are available to students studying journalism in the fall. The Seattle chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is seeking applicants for three scholarships aimed at college journalism students, recent graduates, and soon-to-be graduates.

Students attending college in the fall can apply for the Northwest Journalists of Color scholarship. College students and recent graduates who are members of the Seattle chapter of the AAJA also qualify for the Founders’ Scholarship, which covers a student registration for the 2010 AAJA National Convention, and for a scholarship for classes or other fees at 911 Media Arts Center in Seattle.
The deadline to apply is May 1. ♦

Find the application forms online at www.aaja.org.
