The Association of Fundraising Professionals (Washington Chapter) chose six outstanding philanthropists to honor at its 21st anniversary National Philanthropy Day luncheon held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
Among the honorees were the Lung Tsuchiya Family and Mina Saudagaran.
The Lung Tsuchiya Family has contributed to organizations such as the Wing Luke Asian Museum, Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS), and the University of Washington School of Pharmacy.
Various members of the family serve on boards and in other leadership positions for many organizations, including United Way of King County, Seattle University, and the University of Washington Friends of Educational Opportunity Program.
Mina Saudagaran, a 16-year-old junior at Annie Wright School in Tacoma, is a youth representative on the United Way of Pierce County Board of Directors and serves as a member of the United Way of Pierce County Volunteer Engagement Advisory Committee.
Also honored were Wells Fargo, St. Luke’s Foundation, the Women’s Funding Alliance, and Nancy Skinner Nordhoff. ♦
