Mimi Gates
Mimi Gates, former director of the Seattle Art Museum, announced that the Center for Asian Art and Ideas (CAAI) will launch at the Seattle Asian Art Museum this fall. The center will explore facets of Asian culture including art, literature, music, history, and politics.
Partnering with the University of Washington, Gates will kick off the CAAI 10-week introductory lecture series titled “Saturday University at SAAM: Asia in Focus” on Oct. 3.
