Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke flew back to Seattle on Sept. 12 and stayed for the weekend for a few personal obligations. Locke’s family moved to Maryland in July.

Aside from having dinner with his parents and in-laws, he attended a fundraising event in a spectacular waterfront home on Mercer Island for King County Executive candidate Dow Constantine, now chair of the King County Council as well as a member. The event raised over $20,000. 
On Sept. 14, Locke participated in a golf tournament called the Governor’s Cup. Lately, if you followed the news, Locke has often played golf with President Obama. Locke is smart in letting his boss win. Obama is known for being great in basketball, but not golf.
