Every year, an enemy of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Summer Festival is rain.
For the years we did not have good weather, everyone stayed home.
This year, rain struck on the second morning. On July 12, it was not just a drizzle, but poured like hailstones. At least, we had a good turnout on the first day, I thought.
Then, it stopped and people started showing up. It was packed at one time in the I.D. and a few drops of rain were on my head. It did not bother the crowd. Call it a miracle!
