The Seattle Public Library has expanded its Web site to offer more information for its Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish-speaking readers.
The new Web site will help newcomers to the United States understand the services of the library. The site will also contain information, written in different languages, about programs and materials that the library offers.
The new Web pages include: 30 pages of information, a welcome video, loan and purchase suggestion forms, a search box for language-specific items in the catalog, online calendars that list upcoming events and classes offered in non-English languages, lists of new books, and CDs and DVDs.
The Web site expansion was made possible by a grant from the Friends of The Seattle Public Library. ♦
