The Great Leader, Great Mentor Reception was held at the World Trade International Center in Seattle on April 8 by National Urban Fellows (NUF).
Honorees, from left to right: King County Chief of Staff Kurt Triplett (representing Ron Sims), Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Puget Sound affiliation’s Executive Director Mona Locke (rep-resenting Gary Locke), and former Seattle Mayor Norm Rice.
The reception honored former governor and current U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, former Seattle Mayor Norm Rice, and King County Executive and soon-to-be U.S. Deputy Secretary for the Department of Housing and Urban Development Ron Sims.
NUF is a leadership development organization that pro-motes people of color and women in leadership positions.
